Oro Valley Police search for robbery suspect

On Feb. 26 at approximately 4:50 p.m., the Oro Valley Police Department responded to a report of a bank robbery in progress at the Chase Bank, located in the 12000 block of North Oracle.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the suspect had fled the scene after obtaining an undetermined amount of cash. Officers learned that the suspect entered the bank and approached the teller and demanded money. No weapon was seen or implied.

The suspect fled the scene in the westbound direction on foot, and is described as a white male, 5 foot, 10 inches between 160-170 lbs, black disheveled hair, wearing a straw hat. He was wearing a long-sleeve white under shirt, dark t-shirt, blue jeans and gloves.

The Oro Valley Police Department is asking for the public assistance in locating this suspect and you are asked to call 911, 88-crime or 229-4900.
