While reports have not been confirmed, police are said to be searching the University of Arizona campus for a possible gunman.

A text alert was sent to students just after 5 p.m., saying there was a report of a gunman with a rifle inside the administration building.

Students have been notified to stay clear of the area.

About three hours after the search began, UA and Tucson police said no gunman was found and the area was cleared.
