Golder Ranch Fire Department and Northwest Fire were both dispatched to a full alarm gas leak at Tangerine and La Cholla roads at 8:17 a.m.

The crews found a 2 inch pipe leaking gas in the Southwest corner of the intersection and secured it, according to Northwest Fire spokesperson Adam Goldberg.

Surrounding homes were evacuated as a precautionary measure, and the intersection was temporarily shut down.

The roads have since opened.
