The Marana Police Department recently upgraded and added new vehicles to its fleet.

The department purchased two unmarked Tahoes, three unmarked Caprices, eight marked patrol Caprices, two Victory motorcycles, one Ford F-150 detective truck and one used 2010 Ford Explorer to be used by the Police Citizen Volunteers.

The total cost for the vehicles and to have them outfitted with lights, cages, and the addition technology within the vehicles was $822,000.

The vehicles will replace existing vehicles within the department’s fleet. The replaced vehicles will be sold at auction.
