Garage fire

No one was injured in the free-standing garage fire on Silverbell Road.

At approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday, units from the Avra Valley Fire District responded to reports of a garage fire on Silverbell Road.

Upon arrival fire crews found a fully-involved garage fire. The garage was a 2,900 square foot freestanding garage used for storage.

The owner used the garage for auto repair maintenance supplies, house hold products and various miscellaneous items.

Avra Valley Fire requested help from neighboring Northwest Fire District and Picture Rocks Fire District for assistance.

The estimated damage is at $15,000 to $20,000 dollars and is currently under investigation at this time.
