Beau Bishop, the 25-year-old Picture Rocks man believed to have shot his parents and then turned the gun on himself, died around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday at University Medical Center, said Deputy Dawn Barkman, a public information officer for the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

The shootings were reported Aug. 22.

That day, at 4:54 p.m., deputies for the Tucson Mountain District of the Pima County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a shooting in the 11300 block of W. Via Dichosa in Picture Rocks.

When police officers arrived, they found three victims who all were suffering gunshot wounds.

According to a PCSD press release, it appears that Beau Bishop shot both his mother, Lisa Bishop, 47, and father, John Bishop, 65, and then shot himself.

The parents were in stable condition Tuesday.

The incident is still under investigation.
