Kids 14 and under don't have to dress like a wizard to win the chance to trick-or-treat with the Kino Bambino. They simply need to enter an essay contest.

If you're age 14 or under, you could win a contest to go trick-or-treating in the Tucson area with Kino Bambino, the Tucson Padres' mascot. The deadline to enter is Oct. 24 at 5 p.m.

Tucson's Minor League baseball team is holding an essay contest for kids ages 14 and under. The winner can bring the Tucson Padres mascot, the Kino Bambino, trick-or-treating with them on Monday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 7 p.m. They also will receive a Padres' prize pack.

To enter, write an essay (100 words or less) explaining why the Kino Bambino should join you trick-or-treating! Then post the essay on the Kino Bambino's Facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kino-Bambino/209496209097763?notif_t=fbpage_admin.

Or, you can email your essay to kino@tucsonpadres.com.

Essays can be dropped off at the Padres administrative offices at Kino Stadium during regular business hours. Each entry will be judged by Kino and the Padres staff member.

The deadline to enter is Oct. 24. The trick-or-treating must take place in the Tucson area.
