Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords serves meals to DM soldiers, along with husband, Mark Kelly.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords spent some time serving Thanksgiving meals at Davis Monthan Air Force Thursday, during a visit to Tucson.

Giffords, who is visiting Tucson with husband, Mark Kelly, served meals, and talked to soldiers at the base.

Giffords is in Tucson for the third time since being moved to a rehabilitation center in Houston. The three-term Congresswoman is currently living in Houston, where she continues to go through rehabilitation.

Giffords suffered a gunshot wound to the head on Jan. 8. She was injured along with 13 others. Six people were killed in the shooting at the Safeway on Ina Road.

Giffords continues to defy the odds as she works to regain speech and movement on her right side. Giffords was shot in the left side of her brain.
