Police Beat – Week of November 6


Oro Valley 

On Friday, Oct. 25 at 8:28 a.m., Oro Valley police responded to a call about a theft at Café Torino. The manager said the patio tables were taken sometime over night. Two patio tables and nine chairs were taken sometime between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. on Oct. 24. The items taken amounted to $2,325. The restaurant owner was contacted and said she wants to prosecute for the items taken. The manager said he is waiting on video surveillance to be returned and will call the police once he receives it.


On Thursday, Oct. 24 at about 10:42 p.m., Oro Valley police responded to a person disturbing the peace. The caller said people at the main pool were being loud. There were two males in the jacuzzi talking loudly. Both said they were visiting a friend and that they didn’t live in the complex. Both were asked to leave the pool, which they did.


On Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 10:06 a.m., Oro Valley police observed a truck that had already been broken into. The driver’s window was broken and glass was found inside and outside of the truck. The car stereo also appeared to be missing. The police officer attempted to contact the registered owner, but couldn’t. A business card was left on the windshield with the case number and contact information.
