Marana resident charged with second degree murder


On May 16, 2013 at 11:14 p.m., officers from the Marana Police Department responded to a residence located in the 8900 block of N. Palm Brook Drive in response to a 911 call. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male and female in the home. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers established that the male and female were husband and wife. The female was placed under arrest and booked into the Pima County Jail and charged with second degree murder.

Detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit are currently investigating this incident as a homicide. The name of the victim is not being released, pending next of kin notification.
