We are pleased to announce our new name, Impact of Southern Arizona. Why are we changing our name? Great question. We are growing, thanks to our many supporters and community partners, and we have expanded our facilities, staff and volunteers, allowing us to meet the needs of more families and to impact even more lives.

When we first opened as Catalina Community Services in 2000, as a food bank and resource center, we served the immediate Catalina community. Over time we have expanded to neighboring communities geographically as well as offering a number of services and programs to help residents in Oro Valley, SaddleBrooke, and southeastern Pinal County. In 2012 we were asked by a group of citizens to also provide services to the Greater Vail community. We opened an office in Old Vail Station in February 2013 and are currently offering a food bank and programs for seniors, with plans to bring all of our other programs and community outreach to the Greater Vail area over time.

Our community clothing bank is growing too, and has a name: Loving Threads. We recently moved it to a new, larger location in the Catalina Pointe Plaza, 15920 N. Oracle Road. Suite 150, across the parking lot from the Golden Goose Thrift Shop. This year we will also be expanding our senior programs, moving our senior center, and opening a community computer lab and job resource center in that same shopping mall.

Join us as we impact even more families by dropping off your donations or volunteering. We are open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call us at 825-0009.
