Blend modern with old-time country and roll in some classic rock for a tasteful meal of great music.

On Thursday, June 13, the Greg Spivey Band will serve a free, entertaining evening at Oro Valley Marketplace - southwest corner of Oracle Road and Tangerine Road, at Century Theatres Courtyard.

Greg Spivey has been entertaining Southern Arizonans for years. His current four-piece ensemble is one of the most sought after groups in Tucson and surrounding areas. Spivey's sense of humor keeps audiences laughing while his music keeps you dancing for a guaranteed great time.

Oro Valley Concert Series

Oro Valley and Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance have extended the town's free music series into next year in response to the popularity of the concerts since they began in February 2012, now taking place on the second Thursday of each month. Attendees to the Oro Valley Concert Series are encouraged to bring their own chairs to the 6 p.m. shows.

"The concert series was such a hit this past spring; the crowds got bigger and bigger at each performance," said Oro Valley Mayor Satish Hiremath. "I'm pleased to see our unique partnership with SAACA will enable us to continue providing family-friendly entertainment in a community setting at no cost to our residents."

The upcoming performances will support local musicians in steel drums, folk and classic guitar, Latin and classic jazz, boogie woogie piano, blues, country and more.

"SAACA and the Town of Oro Valley have been creating diverse ways to bring the arts to the community for over a decade," said SAACA Executive Director Kate Marquez. "The increasing number of people attending the Oro Valley Concert Series each month has shown us that the public's desire to engage in artistic events is continuing to grow."
