After a successful trial-run of free, guided tours at Steam Pump Ranch in November and December 2012, the Town of Oro Valley has decided to continue and expand this community program into 2013.

Although the 2012 tours are over (there are none scheduled for Dec. 15), residents and visitors can look forward to Second Saturdays at Steam Pump Ranch, beginning January 12, 2013, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

In addition to tours of the property, attendees will be treated to special presentations, exhibits and guest speakers. Stay tuned for details on upcoming programs.

Steam Pump Ranch is a 15-acre historical site representing a living piece of the history of Oro Valley’s settlement, and it has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A master plan has been developed for the property, outlining additional steps for restoration and historic preservation, and the Town of Oro Valley has recently installed permanent restroom facilities and a parking lot.
