Comedian, actor, singer and writer Rodney Carrington will be live in the Diamond Center for a night of laughs on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Tickets start at $27.50 and go on sale to the general public March 29 at 10 a.m. Arizona Time through Star Tickets. Tickets are also available at the casino Rewards Center, which offers a 10 percent discount to Diamond Rewards members. Active, retired or veterans of the military who have the casino Tribute Card also receive 50 percent off a pair of tickets, offer only available at the Rewards Center. Rodney Carrington has recorded eight major record label comedy albums selling over 3 million copies. Carrington's first album, Hangin' with Rodney, was released in 1998 followed by 2000's Morning Wood – his first Top 20 album and single charts debut with "More of a Man". Rodney’s third release Nut Sack in 2003 included the single "Don't Look Now". He released King of the Mountains in 2007 and in 2008 he co-wrote and co-starred in the film Beer for My Horses, appearing alongside Country stars Toby Keith and Willie Nelson. Rodney also starred in his own TV sitcom Rodney, which ran for two seasons on ABC. Carrington released El Niño Loco in 2009, his first album entirely composed of songs, containing his 3rd non-comedy song "Funny Man". Later in 2009, Carrington released his first Christmas album, Make It Christmas. The first single from the album, "Camouflage and Christmas Lights" becoming his first Top 40 country hit in December 2009.
In addition to his comedic success, Carrington formed a Foundation on May 27, 2010 to benefit those who need a helping hand. Rodney decided to give back to the community by uniting resources, donors and agencies to strengthen the lives of others. The Rodney Carrington Foundation is a recognized 501(c)(3) organization with $2.00 from each ticket sold for the Rodney Carrington performances going toward the Foundation to provide support.
