Dove of Peace Lutheran Church’s immensely popular free series of classical music concerts under artistic director Eric Holtan kicks off its ninth season with a new year’s concert featuring the music of Mozart on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2 p.m.  The concert, featuring professional instrumentalists from the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and Tucson Chamber Artists and special guests will benefit Interfaith Community Services.

This annual New Year’s concert has reached capacity for the last three years. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for seating.

The concert and annual series is paid for by the congregation as a gift to the community, and concertgoers are invited to make a freewill contribution to a local, non-sectarian charity at each event.  On Jan. 1, all of the contributions will go to Interfaith Community Services (ICS).  Representing many diverse faiths, ICS provides more than 45,000 services a year to more than 24,000 disadvantaged people, disabled individuals, and seniors.
