Saturday, May 24, begins the Memorial Day weekend and marks the opening of the swim season at Pima County pools.  Pools will be open every day except Friday through Labor Day, September 1.  When school starts in August pool hours shift to weekends only.  Pools and splash pads operated by Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation are: Ajo Pool (E.S. “Bud” Walker Park), Brandi Fenton Splash Pad, Catalina Pool, Flowing Wells Jr. High School Pool, Kino Pool (Mulcahy YMCA), Los Niños Pool, Manzanita Pool, Northwest YMCA - Thad Terry Pool, Picture Rocks Pool and Splash Pad, and Wade McLean Pool (Marana High School)

The cost is $1 per entry age 17 and under, 50 cents if low-income qualified.  Eighteen and older pay $3, but those over 65, or disabled, or who meet low income standards get in for half-price.  Family Swim is only $1 for the entire family.  A 24-entry pass is $60 for adults ($30 for those eligible for the discount) and $20 for youth ($10 if eligible).  For information, call 877-6126 or 877-6109.
