The Marana Police Department unveiled its new equestrian patrol Oct. 17. The three horses and two officers that constitute the mounted unit will be used primarily to patrol the 2,440 acres of the Tortolita Preserve northwest of Tangerine Road and Interstate 10, as well as Marana's Santa Cruz River Trail.
