Four of the five Northwest Tucson high schools found victories on Friday night, the biggest margin of victory going to Ironwood Ridge, who defeated Flowing Wells 62-0.
Quarterback Tyler Williams led the Nighthawks, passing for three touchdowns and rushing for another.
Williams completed nine of 10 pass attempts for 212 yards.
Wide receiver John Klass had three receiving touchdowns for 101 yards, and Austin Campbell led the Nighthawks on the ground with four carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
The Nighthawks (8-0) will next face Catalina Foothills (0-8).
Catalina Foothills suffered its most recent loss to the Mountain View Mountain Lions last Friday.
The Mountain Lions (5-3) were led by quarterback Leo Khawam with 129 passing yards on one touchdown pass, and Richie Estrada with two rushing touchdowns on 15 carries, and one receiving touchdown, leading to a 42-0 victory.
Mountain View faces Flowing Wells (2-6) on Friday at home.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy also improved this week, moving to 4-4 after a 32-0 win over Santa Cruz Valley High School.
Quarterback Jacob Frithsen completed nine of 16 pass attempts for 169 yards and three passing touchdowns. Sophomore Mitch Reilly led the Lions defensively with 11 tackles.
The Lions will look for another win over San Manuel (6-2) this Friday.
Marana found its third consecutive win on Friday, defeating Amphitheater 47-13.
Quarterback Ben Honea completed nine of 14 attempts for 144 yards on three passing touchdowns, while rushing for another.
Running back Bradley Gonzales rushed for two touchdowns, while wide receiver Dennis Wilson had two touchdown catches.
Marana (3-5) will take on Canyon Del Oro (2-6) on Friday.
Canyon Del Oro continued to struggle with a 24-21 loss to Tucson High Magnet School.
Running back Isaac Chacon carried the ball 22 times for 143 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to fix botched possessions that gave the game to Tucson High.
