Tuesday will be a busy day for local teams with a number of postseason games on tap, as well as a pair of regular season games with postseason implications.

Three local boys tennis teams will host second round matches. Ironwood Ridge and Catalina Foothills host Division II matches, while Pusch Ridge will host a Division III match.

The Lions will face No. 7 Chandler prep.

Ironwood Ridge and Catalina Foothills face Nogales and Notre Dame Prep respectively, and if both win they would square off on Friday in Phoenix.

All three matches are at 3 p.m.

Ironwood Ridge and CDO will both host second round games in the Division II softball playoffs. The Nighthawks will face Tucson High, while CDO gets Sunnyside.

Marana will also be in action, but has to travel to Yuma for a game against No. 3 Kofa.

A pair of local baseball teams will also be in action, but both will be on the road in the Phoenix area. No. 14 Foothills travels to No. 3 Bradshaw Mountain, while No. 10 CDO visits No. 7 Verrado.

All softball and baseball games are scheduled for 4 p.m.

Tuesday night there are two boys volleyball matches with playoff implications. Ironwood Ridge is in, but are still battling for seeding. They travel to Salpointe. Catalina Foothills is trying to lock up a playoff spot. The No. 22 Falcons will be in if they beat Tucson High.

Marana sits at No. 23 but have already concluded their regular season.

Both games are at 6 p.m.
