27-year-old Harold High and 22-year-old Angelique Williams were leaving their apartment complex at 4500 E. Sunrise Drive around 1 a.m. on June 7, when an unknown subject shot multiple times at their vehicle.

Both victims were struck and although they were injured, they were able to leave their vehicle for cover until the Pima County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, according to Chief Deputy Chris Nanos.

Mr. High was transported to the trauma center with life threatening injures. He underwent surgery and is expected to survive. Ms. Williams was also transported to the trauma center with non-life threatening injures.

The Sheriff’s Department Robbery/Assault Unit responded and took over the investigation.
