On Saturday, Jan. 11, at about 6:07 p.m., Oro Valley police responded to a report of a theft at Kohl’s at 7785 N. Oracle Road. A woman, who had been stopped by security at the store tried to leave the store with a woman’s shirt, two pairs of socks, Juicy Corture woman’s perfume, Ed Hardy women’s perfume and BCB women’s perfume without paying for them. She was arrested for shoplifting and told that she would be cited for trespassing if she returned to the store. The items were valued at $87.
On Saturday, Jan. 11, at about 5:50 p.m., Oro Valley police responded to the Walmart at 2150 E. Tangerine Road in response to a report of shoplifting. A woman had been caught by the loss prevention officer at the store for attempting to leave the store with a Betty Crocker Soups and Stews cookbook without paying for it. She was arrested for shoplifting and told she would be charged with trespassing if she returned to any Walmart. The cookbook was valued at $4.99.
On Wednesday, Jan. 8, at about 10:15 a.m., Oro Valley police responded to the Arizona Beds at 7881 N. Oracle Road in response to a call about a theft. The employee said he had placed a large, white, plastic A-frame sign on the sidewalk in front of the business the day before around 10 a.m. When he went to get the sign around 8 p.m., he noticed it was missing. The sign was valued at about $250.
On Tuesday, Jan. 7, at about 7 p.m., Oro Valley police responded to the European Wax Center on 7645 N. Oracle Road in response to a call about a theft. The employee told police that a car pulled up to the front of the business. At that point, a passenger got out of the truck and quickly walked up and grabbed the A-frame wooden sign that was in front of the building. The sign had a picture of a scantily clad woman on it. The passenger then put the sign in the truck and drove off. The sign was estimated at $150.
On Saturday, Jan. 11, at about 4:45 p.m., Marana police responded to a caller. The caller said that at 10:15 a.m. he parked his car in the Sam Levitz Furniture parking lot at 3750 W. Orange Grove Road. He returned to his car at about 3 p.m. and saw a scratch on both sides of his car. The officer was able to remove the scratch marks by hand. There is no digital surveillance available.
On Saturday, Jan. 4 , at about 2:17 p.m., Marana police responded to a shoplifting at 3901 W. Costco Drive. The caller said he saw a male by a display of headphones. The male attempted to open the package and then, with the headphones in hand, walked into the restroom. The male later exited the restroom empty handed and exited the store. The caller said he stopped the male outside. A case of headphones was later found in the male’s short pockets. The headphones valued at $99.99.
On Monday, Dec. 30, at about 2:59 p.m., Marana police responded to a call about criminal damage at the block of 1200 N. Stone Pillar Drive. The caller said that earlier someone damaged his mailbox. The leaf on the mailbox, which tells a mailman if there is mail, was bent.
On Tuesday, Dec. 31, at about 11:50 p.m., Marana police responded to a theft complaint at the Circle K on 4540 W. Ina Road. The employee working said that two male subjects walked in the store. He believes that while one of them was asking him about tobacco products the other walked towards the beer and put it under his shirt. The male then walked out of the store without paying for the items. The male talking to the employee ended up leaving too. The employee doesn’t know the exact items taken and there was no video surveillance.
