My mom is the best because she is the strongest person I know. She raised my two brothers and I alone after our dad lost his battle with cancer. She took care of us, went to school and worked. We didn’t have much, but we had everything we needed. We might not have had the newest toys and trendiest clothes but we had toys and clothes. I don’t know how much she sacrificed to get me soccer cleats or football cleats for the boys, but she always made sure we had everything we needed. She was at EVERY game, play and event that we had no matter what. We always knew she was there supporting us.

Not only did she lose her husband, but when my oldest brother was 25 he was murdered. I do not know how my mom did and still does it, but she has been so strong. She has helped me and continues to help me when I have tough times. She lives over an hour away and when I need her she drives from St. David to Marana at any given moment. I talk to my mom every day, even if I don’t have anything to say. I just have to call her, otherwise my day is off.

I don’t know how else to say my mom is the best, but she is. She is my best friend.
