On July 2, at about 2:20 a.m., Oro Valley Police Department patrol units responded to the Wal-Mart store at 2150 E. Tangerine Road, in reference to a theft of a large amount of Apple products.

Two males were seen on video entering the store and casing the area where the computers were located. Both suspects were seen leaving the store, and a short time later, one of the suspects re-entered Wal-Mart, picked up a crow bar from inside the store, smashed a glass case and stole numerous Apple products.

Surveillance video showed the male running out of Wal-Mart and getting into a Chevrolet Impala, located at the back of the store, and leaving at a high rate of speed.

The OVPD Criminal Investigations Unit was able to locate the license plate of the Impala, which led them to one of the suspects in this case, 28-year-old Emond Hill. Hill was charged with conspiracy to commit theft, conspiracy to commit third degree burglary and trafficking in stolen property.

OVPD is asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in this crime: Eric Mcrae, a 27-year-old black male, 5’08” and 165 lbs. If anyone has information on Eric Mcrae’s whereabouts, please call 88-crime, (520) 229-4900 or 9-1-1.
