On the afternoon of July 23, officers from Operations Division Midtown responded to a residence in the 4600 block of East North Street in response to an unknown trouble call. A family member of the persons that lived at the residence made a 9-1-1 call at approximately 4:12 p.m. Officers were dispatched at approximately 4:13 p.m. and arrived at approximately 4:19 p.m. Upon their arrival, they found the family member, who had called 911, waiting for them outside of the house. The officers were advised that the residents were inside of the house, and both of them appeared to be seriously injured. Officers entered the residence and found an adult male and adult female inside. Both were Caucasian and in their mid-80s. Both were also suffering from obvious signs of trauma. Upon closer inspection, the officers determined that both the male and female were deceased. Their identities are being withheld at this time pending notification of other family members.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit also responded to the residence in order to further the investigation. They began the process of trying to determine who had last seen or had contact with either the male victim or female victim. The investigation continues. The detectives request that anyone having information about the incident, suspect(s), or motive(s) relating to this investigation please call 911 or 88-Crime.
