From a nesting owl inside one of Catalina State Park’s many Saguaro cactus, to the majestic and colorful views of the mountains from the park’s hiking trails, there is plenty to see in the popular state park.

Besides hiking, and biking, Catalina State Park is also a big draw for bird watchers. There are numerous species of birds that can be seen throughout the year.

The park is also a big draw for reptile lovers. Lizards, snakes and many other species keep people coming year after year. A special wildlife/reptile program has also been created because of the park’s wide variety of wildlife.

A  unique reptile that has been found inside the park is also the at-times dangerous gila monster.

When it comes to Catalina State Park, there is plenty to see and do.
