Magma Ranch Community Pool” located at 10980 East Desert Mountain Boulevard, Florence.

On Tuesday, July 23, at 8:07 p.m. deputies along with Emergency Medical Technicians responded to the “Magma Ranch Community Pool” located at 10980 East Desert Mountain Boulevard, Florence, regarding a possible child drowning.

Deputies arrived on scene within minutes and immediately took over Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) form citizens who were already administering it to two-year-old Lillian Serrano. A short time later, medics arrived and took over life-saving efforts.

The child was flown by air ambulance to “Florence Anthem Hospital” where at 9:38 p.m. she was pronounced deceased.

According to witnesses, the child was found near the steps of the pool floating by an individual who was at the pool with his family. The child was immediately pulled from the pool and CPR was administered. The mother of the two-year-old child was identified as Stacie Rubianes (age 20). She was at the pool with other friends and children and didn’t see Lillian wonder away.

Detectives from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office responded and will continue to investigate this case. At the conclusion of their investigation, the case will be forwarded to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office for review.
