A buzz has begun for the Holiday Harmony Concert, the Christmas performance presented by SaddleBrooke's Canada Del Oro Barbershop Chorus and four world-class national champion quartets.

The concert is Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. in SaddleBrooke's DesertView Theatre. Tickets, priced at $18, are on sale now at the Mountain View Clubhouse, 825-2818, or on the web at www.dvpac.net.

Barbershop performances in SaddleBrooke have sold out for the last three years. "This year we once again invite you to experience an in-depth look at this amazingly rich and true American musical art form," a release said.

Nancy Bergman is the director and arranger, with Rogers Hornsby the associate director and conductor. The chorus and guest quartets "will each bring a very special pulse of energy, harmony, humor and talent," the release continued.

The women's quartet One Voice is the regional Sweet Adeline quartet champion. Audacity, the international 2009 barbershop senior champions group, "is rather unpretentious and very exciting. You will be thrilled with their easy musical style and warm, full-harmony sounds."

The Sonoran Sound and the PHX! Quartets bring varied repertoires of novelty and traditional barbershop favorites.

The SaddleBrooke Canada del Oro Barbershop Chorus invites any male, with or without singing experience, to join. Starting in September, the chorus meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Mariposa Room at the theater complex.
