Marana is seeking applicants for multiple lifeguard positions in its seasonal recreation program.

Lifeguarding is "an exciting opportunity for someone to work with youth and have fun in the sun for the summer months," a release said.

Lifeguards oversee swimming pool activities, assure safety, administer first aid when required, maintain pool sanitation, enforce sanitation rules and regulations, test pool water chemical balance, act as timers and judges, and help teach swimming.

Applicants must have completed a life-guarding certification course, a first aid course and a CPR course, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
