Singer Christina Perri will perform July 18 at the Hotel Congress in support of her debut album, “Lovestrong.” The concert starts at 7 p.m.
Perri is one of the most buzzed-about new acts of the past year thanks to her hit single “Jar of Hearts.” The song catapulted her into the spotlight after airing on the Fox TV show “So You Think You Can Dance.” The raw, emotional quality of her performance connected with viewers and catapulted the 24-year-old Philadelphia native into the public eye.
“Jar of Hearts” went on to sell a million downloads and land Perri, who was then supporting herself as a café manager in Beverly Hills, a deal with Atlantic Records. Since then, Perri has performed live on “Conan,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Early Show.”
“Jar of Hearts” has since been certified double platinum, and “Lovestrong’s” second single, “Arms,” is climbing quickly up the music ladder.
Ticket prices range from $12.75 to $15. They are available on www.ticketmaster.com.
