This summer, the Toscana Studio and Gallery will offer art and sculpture camps for kids in second to 12th grades.

The different camps offered throughout the summer range from various forms of media, including water-based clay, wire, plaster, rope, found objects, wood, metal, balsa wood, and papier maché to acrylic and oil paints.

Classes are limited to seven students for individualized ideas and projects.

Each camp meets for four days a week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The first camp, running May 31 to June 3 for grades 2-5, is sculpture in clay and plaster animals, portraits or something from the imagination. For grades 5-8, campers will build bird habitats and bug houses from wood, metal and wire.

The second camp, running June 6-9 for grades 2-5, is the making of dinosaurs, monsters and animals from papier maché. For grades 5-8, campers will sculpt clay and plaster animals, portraits or something else from their imagination.

The camps cost $225. To register or for more information, visit or call Linda Ahern at 575-1445.

The Toscana Studio and Gallery is located at 9040 N. Oracle Road.
