Green Fields Country Day School hosts an open house for families of prospective students in grades K-5 from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7.

"Those who are just curious to see other educational options are also welcome," a release said.

Tours of the 22-acre campus, classroom visits and meetings with teachers and principals are available. Refreshments are provided.

At Green Fields Lower School, class sizes average 15 students, every child has physical education every day, French and Spanish are instructed through the fifth grade, and music, art and drama classes are offered in rotation. The third-grade class learns to care for chickens, gather eggs and sell them, raising money for a non-profit of their choice. There is recess, too.

The school is located at 6000 N. Camino de la Tierra in northwest Tucson, near Orange Grove and Shannon. For more information on Green Fields, call 297-2288 or visit www.greenfields.org.
