The Tucson Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet will celebrate music from pirate movies, musicals and the works of great composers when it presents Sailing the High C’s this weekend.

The Just for Kids Series concerts will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. at the Tucson Symphony Center, 2175 N. Sixth Ave., one block south of Grant Road in Tucson.

Children are welcome to dress as a pirate and let their imagination set sail aboard the TSO Brass Quintet pirate ship.

Admission is free, with a suggested $3 per person donation.

Just for Kids is a series of fun and informal, interactive chamber ensemble concerts lasting 45-50 minutes.

The performances use humor, story-telling, demonstrations and participation to introduce classical music and orchestral instruments in an entertaining and kid-friendly environment to families, including those with very young children.

The programs are presented on the first Saturday morning of each month from October to March. There is ample free parking at the Tucson Symphony Center.

For more information about the Tucson Symphony Center Just for Kids program, call the TSO box office at 882-8585 or visit www.tucsonsymphony.org.

Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

National Bank of Arizona and the Mary S. Gorin Fund are sponsoring the Nov. 5 Just for Kids concerts.
