Glenna Gilbert-Jones and friends show their watercolor paintings in a special exhibit this Saturday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Toscana Studio and Gallery in Oro Valley.

Gilbert-Jones is unveiling new paintings during the show, a release said. She received publicity for her retrospective in oils last year, but her most acclaimed work is her watercolors. They tell "a story in her rich style of painting," a style that "firmly grounds her as an important contemporary American painter."

Other art in the show has been painted by Francheskaa, Deanna Thiebold, Jo Ann Daly, Ray Hecker, Jeanise Jalbertus-Decenzo and Maren Webb. Refreshments are being served.

The art is being displayed through Jan. 8.

Toscana Studio and Gallery is located at 9040 N. Oracle Road, three driveways north of Hardy Road.
