"Summer's Last Splash," the annual fund-raiser for the Marana Foundation for Educational Excellence, is on the calendar for Sunday, Sept. 13.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Breakers Water Park, 8555 W. Tangerine Rd. The public is invited, with tickets $10 per person at the gate. Children under 3 get in for free.

All park attractions and water activities are open. Performances by MUSD school bands, choirs, orchestras, jump rope teams and other groups are planned throughout the day.

Proceeds benefit the Marana Foundation and MUSD schools. Since its inception, the Marana Foundation has donated more than $100,000 to fund educational programs and projects within the Marana district. It makes grants to educators to "encourage development of innovative programs to enhance the educational experience of students," a release said.
