Fine art, crafts fest planned in Marana Oct. 24-25

Organizers are getting ready for the first fine art and crafts festival to be held at Arizona Pavilions in Marana.

The event is set for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24-25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pavilions, located at Cortaro and I-10 in Marana.

Tucson artist Greg Kyle, who started his art career with Ted DeGrazia in 1972, is coordinating the event. Kyle, who has sold his work for 38 years at outdoor art shows and special events, plans for "a high-quality show with unique works of fine art and fine crafts," a release said.

He's hopeful the show can become a semi-annual event for Marana, combining fine art and crafts, music, food and Marana's heritage.

Artists or craftsmen interested in taking part in this year's festival may contact Kyle at 743-9466, or 744-8500.
