From jazz inspired by the Rat Pack and Ella Fitzgerald to gypsy, flamenco, tango and western swing, Foothills Music and Art Series is giving audiences a talented mix of musicians this month.

The next free concert will feature jazz vocalist Heather O’Day. She’ll perform Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd.

O’Day hails from Tucson and has brought her jazz quintet to venues throughout Southern Arizona since 2008. With decades of experience onstage, the ensemble members all have impressive careers in their own right.

The group takes its cue from classic jazz stars like Billie Holiday, Dave Brubeck, Vince Guaraldi, Thelonious Monk and more. They feature a set list of the most beloved standards for vocals, piano, drums and bass, with a few unique surprises.

Heather’s four-octave vocal range adds flair and flavor to their warm sound.

The concert is presented by Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance.

The Foothills Mall Music and Art Series also features magic shows, strolling musicians, comedy acts, unique games and crafts for kids on Friday evenings and throughout the day on Saturday.
