Cider, spice at OV farmers mart Nov. 27

The Oro Valley Farmers’ Market is reminding people of its hours as the holidays approach.

It’ll be open as usual this Saturday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It’s open 9-1 on Saturday, Nov. 27, Thanksgiving weekend, with hot apple cider and spice tea for holiday shoppers.

The Oro Valley Holiday Parade is Saturday, Dec. 11, and the farmers market is open that day.

It’ll be closed Saturday, Dec. 25, which is Christmas Day, and open Jan. 1, New Year’s Day.

Free family history day this Saturday

A church in Oro Valley is hosting Family History Day this Saturday, Nov. 20.

Interested people can come by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 55 W. Arrowsmith, to get help finding family, to learn how to use local family history centers, to get ideas for a family history scrapbook and to enjoy a family tree craft for children.

It’s all free, from 3 to 6 p.m.

Adopt a beagle Nov. 26 in city

Beagles can be adopted on Black Friday, Nov. 26, at the PetSmart store located at Oracle and Wetmore in Tucson.

Adoptions during November are sponsored by the Southern Arizona Beagle Rescue Foundation, a charitable, non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to beagle and beagle-mix dog rescue, education on the breed and general animal welfare.

Volunteers will be available to answer questions and accept applications for adoption.
