Registration is still being accepted for Imagine Greater Tucson, a regional visioning process that is expected to attract more than 1,000 people to three upcoming workshops – May 18, 24 and 25 – where people will share their ideas to help build alternative scenarios for the future of the greater Tucson region.

Locally, the workshop will take place May 24 at the Hilton El Conquistador Resort, 10000 N. Oracle Road. Registration and refreshments will begin at 5:30 p.m. The scenario building workshops will follow from 6 to 8:15 p.m.

Light refreshments and free parking will be offered. No specific planning experience is required to participate.

Imagine Greater Tucson learned that residents value family time, minimal time in the car, easy commutes, access to their great outdoors, bicycle and pedestrian safety, low crime and engaging youth activities. Imagine Greater Tucson discovered, however, that the path the region is on, based on its current trends and decision-making policies, does not align with its residents’ values.

In the fall, the public will have an opportunity to review the alternative scenarios and provide feedback that will lead to a preferred scenario that addresses some of the values. All of the values will be incorporated into the Imagine Greater Tucson Vision.

To register, visit or call 209-2IGT (2448).
