OV seeking volunteers for departments
The Town of Oro Valley is seeking volunteers who want to share clerical talents and people skills assisting the human resources, legal and town clerk staffs, among others.
Flexible schedules are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., a release said.
Tasks may include answering phones, greeting customers, maintaining files, sorting and distributing mail, copying, word processing, data entry, scheduling meetings and providing other support as needed. Experience and background should include at least one year of customer service or clerical experience, knowledge of office practices including filing, proofreading, word processing and spreadsheet software and data entry skills.
"This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity," the release continued.

Reception for artists Sunday at St. Philip's
An artists reception is being held this Sunday, Dec. 6, for two artists opening a show at Murphey Gallery, located at St. Philip's in the Hills.
Artists Lynn Rae Lowe, who displays "Season of Light," works in metal coloration, and Candace Greenberg, showing botanical solar photograms, are donating 10 percent of their proceeds during the 2-4 p.m. Sunday opening to the St. Philip's food bank.
The exhibit continues until Jan. 7. Gallery hours are 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
St. Philip's is located at the northeast corner of River and Campbell in Tucson.
