More than 30 authors and a number of presenters are lined up for the fourth annual Oro Valley Book Festival on Saturday, Feb. 13.

The event is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oro Valley Public Library, 1305 W. Naranja.

This year's theme is "The Many Colors of the Library: Celebrate the Diversity of our Programs, Books and Technology."

Special speakers for the day are Scott Calhoun, a gardening specialist, lecturer and author who opens at 9:30 a.m.; Dr. Marilyn Heins, a pediatrician, parenting educator and children's book author speaking at 11:30 a.m.; Linda Kranz, a children's and teen author at 1:30 p.m.; and Chris O'Dell, an author, at 2:30 p.m.

Special presentations are planned by the Oro Valley Historical Society, the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance, book binder and conservator Mark Andersson of Panther Peak Bindery, and Sun Sounds of Arizona, which provides audio access to people who cannot read print because of a disability.

"Not Just for English Majors" is a display of projects and crafts done by exhibitors from books they have checked out from the library.

Authors available to the public for book signings and sales from 9 to 11:30 a.m. are Dr. Iris R. Bell, Jane Eppinga, Lee Harris, Art Kramer, Susan Lowell, Margaret Martinez, Chris O'Dell, Dr. Shawn Tassone, Jan Cleere, M.E. "Betsy" Harrigan, Edie Jarolim, Eugene Liptak, Jim Malusa, Marianne Mitchell, Ernie Patino and Dr. Kathryn Landherr.

On the docket from noon to 2:30 p.m. are Paula and Mike Bloker, Martin F. Feess, Toby Fesler Heathcotte, Jack McDaniel, Kris Neri, Leighton Rockafellow, Conrad J. Storad, Lou Waters, Jillian Cantor, Phillip J. Greene, Philip F. Hemmo, Jane McKinney, Marilyn Anne Pate, Mark P. Sadler and Evelyne Tannehill.
