Parents, students, and community are invited. All proceeds benefit the MUSD secondary music program.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. They may be purchased at Southwest Strings, 1721 S. Cherrybell Strav, Tucson; by calling 1-800-528-3430; or online at http://www.swstrings.com">www.swstrings.com.
"Students have been studying and practicing very hard in anticipation of this event," said Terry Alexander, Mountain View orchestra director. "Mountain View High School is honored to host this event again this year and thanks all of our parent volunteers and staff who are donating their time and expertise to the success of this event."
For the second year, Wood brings his "Electrify your Strings" two-day workshop to 300 MUSD secondary orchestra students from Tortolita Middle School Orchestra, Marana Middle School, Mountain View High School and Marana High School.
"Last year's experience was so amazing, unlike anything we have ever experienced before in the school orchestra 'world,' and we are extremely pleased and excited to provide this opportunity to our orchestra students throughout the district again this year," said Diane Abrams, Tortolita Middle School orchestra director.
People may donate to the secondary music program by contacting Abrams at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling 349-1921.
