The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain has named David Serus executive chef for the resort, following an extensive international search to fill the sought-after leadership position. Serus’ role will encompass all hotel culinary activities, including those at CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar, Cayton’s Restaurant, Ignite Lobby Lounge, Turquesa Latin Grill, To Go, In-Room Dining, banquets, and catering for the 850-acre Arizona resort located between Tucson and Phoenix.

 Born in France, Serus comes to Arizona following several high-profile years as executive chef for The Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C., where he pioneered a focus on creating impeccably prepared, but simple, ingredients which deliver optimal natural flavor. This same focus will be the keystone of Serus’ culinary inspiration at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain.

“There is nothing better than a good, simple, high-quality meal in a relaxed environment,” says Serus. “This is what our resort guests want, and I look forward to providing it. I hope they will leave a meal at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain saying, for example, ‘This is the best roast chicken I have ever had.’ The uncomplicated preparation of fresh ingredients is truly what creates a great food experience.”

Guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain can experience Chef Serus’ specialties throughout the property, with a special announcement expected from him in January about a new 2012 brunch offering for CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar.
