Finalists have been identified for the 2009 Pinnacle Awards, to be presented by the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, March 31.

Jim Kriegh, the late “father of Oro Valley,” is being recognized with the chamber’s 2009 Legacy Award. Kriegh, the “embodiment of community involvement,” died in 2007. He is widely acknowledged as one of Oro Valley’s founders.

Nominated for Community Leader of the Year are Dennis Cummings, Dick Eggerding and Drs. Debra and Bob Oro.

Nominees for Large Business of the Year are Comcast, Cottonwood Properties and The Choice Care Agency.

Small Business of the Year nominees are Arizona Car Care Centers, Comet / Catalina Cleaners, and M&I Bank of Oro Valley.

Micro Business of the Year nominees are All About Running & Walking, Lyra Done Realty and That List Lady.

Recipients are announced at the Pinnacle Awards Luncheon, set for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at the Hilton El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort, 10000 N. Oracle. The cost is $400 for a table of 10, or $40 per person.

Tom McNamara is the master of ceremonies. Sponsors are Tucson Newspapers Inc., Ventana Medical Systems Inc., Beach, Fleischman and Co., P.C., the Hilton El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort, Pima Federal Credit Union and Sign Magic, Inc.
