Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza is operating its third Arizona restaurant in Marana’s Arizona Pavilions.

The restaurant opened in December at 5825 W. Arizona Pavilions Dr., near I-10 just south of Cortaro Road.

It features family dining and a separate sports bar.

The business’s concept is based upon specialty gourmet pizzas, with salads, appetizers, ribs and other offerings. It offers its full menu for takeout as Boston’s To-Go.

The restaurant is expected to create more than 100 jobs, a release said. The facility can seat 128 customers in the dining room, 86 in the sports bar and lounge and 60 on the patio.

“Boston’s is an ideal place for families looking to relax with a good meal, but our sports bar side also caters to the local fan who wants a spot to watch the Cardinals or Diamondbacks while sharing some food and drinks with friends,” said franchisee Tom Fredericks.

The company is headquartered in Dallas. Its sister company is Boston Pizza; between the two brands, there are more than 350 locations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

“With the continued, dynamic growth in the Marana area, we are thrilled to bring the Boston’s concept here to serve this market,” said Doug McDonald, president of Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza.

Marshall Towers is the local store manager.
