Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), one of the nation’s leading health and well-being companies, has reached an agreement that provides members of Humana’s Medicare Advantage plans in-network access to Northwest Medical Center and Oro Valley Hospital in Tucson.
Members of Humana’s Medicare Advantage PPO, HMO and Private Fee for Service plans now have in-network access to Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital and their affiliated urgent care centers. Both facilities offer a full range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services.
“This agreement provides our Medicare Advantage members in Tucson with access to Northwest Healthcare’s network of respected facilities and health care providers,” said Mike Franks, Humana’s West Region Senior Products President. “Through this partnership, we’ve been able to substantially increase health care options for our Medicare members who live in the greater Tucson area, including Marana, Green Valley, Sahuarita and Oro Valley.”
Northwest Medical Center is a 300-bed hospital with more than 330 active physicians specializing in 35 specialties, including cardiac rehabilitation, orthopedic care, oncology and neurology. Oro Valley Hospital is 144-bed, all private-room acute-care hospital with 175 active physicians specializing in 28 specialties, including endocrinology, gastroenterology and nephrology.

Humana’s commercial HMO, POS and PPO members and individual medical members (HumanaOne) already have access to these facilities.
Humana has approximately 83,000 Medicare members in Arizona.
