Volunteer Merlin Benningfield, a member of the Oro Valley Kiwanis Club, puts shoes on 8-year-old Matthew Hemenway at J.C. Penney Saturday morning. Matthew was one of several disadvantaged children who were taken on the "shopping spree" by Kiwanis and the Key Club. Kiwanis pays for shopping sprees for needy children twice each year, once at the start of school, a second time at the holidays.Key Club members from Ironwood Ridge, Canyon Del Oro, and Marana High showed up to help along side several adults.
