Nominations have been finalized for the 2011 Pinnacle Awards, presented each year by the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce at its annual meeting and awards breakfast.
This year’s event is Thursday, Aug. 25, starting at 7 a.m. at The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort in Oro Valley.
Nominees for Large Business of the Year are Ventana Medical Systems, The Hilton El Conquistador, and Century Theaters at Oro Valley Marketplace. Midsize Business of the Year nominees are The Keg Steakhouse and Bar, El Charro Café’ Oro Valley, and Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
Nominees for Small Business of the Year are Desert Rain Coffee, Skin Care by Design, M&I Oro Valley, Bedmart Oro Valley and The Golf Villas.
In the nonprofit category, members have nominated the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance, Healthiest Town in America, Tohono Chul Park, MentorKids, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Community Leader of the Year nominees are Gregg Forszt of Ventana, Ron Janicki of Northwest Exterminating, El Ndoye of National Bank of Arizona and Oro Valley Councilman Joe Hornat.
Chosen for Legacy Award nominations are Al and Marilyn Cook, and Bill Adler, all of Oro Valley.
The chamber also recognizes incoming and outgoing members of its board, and announces its new executive committee at the breakfast.
