Tucson Electric Power has presented a $65,000 check to the Community Food Bank.

The money represents TEP’s match promised Nov. 18 on a radio promotion show. This is the second year TEP has matched monetary donations from the “Thanksgiving on the Mayflower” event.

“The Community Food Bank is fortunate to have such a great corporate partner as Tucson Electric Power,” said Bill Carnegie, president and chief executive officer of the food bank. “Their pledge to match the funds raised at this event demonstrates their deep commitment to our community and the people served by the Community Food Bank.”

Sharon Folz, Tucson Electric Power community relations director, presented Carnegie with the check on Dec. 15, during the performance of the 13th annual Sons of Orpheus concert held at the Arizona Schools for the Deaf and Blind.
