A new veterinary clinic has opened in the Northwest.

The Twin Peaks Veterinary Center offers everyday health services for cats and dogs, as well as urgent care for pets during evening and weekend hours, a release said.

"We want to make it easier, more convenient, and more affordable for people to keep their pets healthy," said Dr. Beth Neuman, a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. "So we chose office hours with the idea that people could bring in pets for regular veterinary visits in the evenings and on weekends, and we offer urgent care on a walk-in basis."

Clinic hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Monday.

Twin Peaks Veterinary Center is located on Twin Peaks Road, off Exit 246 along I-10. When construction of the new Twin Peaks Road interchange is completed, the center will be directly accessible from I-10.

Neuman has been practicing emergency veterinary medicine in Tucson for the last six years.

A grand opening celebration takes place Saturday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the Marana Chamber of Commerce cutting the ribbon at 11 a.m. Tours, refreshments, prizes, giveaways, dog grooming and more are part of the day.
