Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce members gather for their annual meeting on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort.

Four business people have been nominated for the board of directors. They are Ron Janicki, Truly Nolen of America, Inc.; Andy Keating, of Andy Keating, CPA; Keri Ruffell, of 1-2-3 Fit; and Kathleen Stupp, The Golf Villas at Oro Valley.

Attorney Jerry Wisot was on the board of directors when he passed away earlier this month. Paul Kappelman of the Northwest Medical Center is termed-out. Dr. Sylvia Lee, president of Pima Community College's Northwest Campus, has moved to the Community Campus. Mark Miller of the Catalina Village Council is choosing not to continue on the board.

Thomas Thaller, with M&I Bank in Oro Valley, has been nominated to be chairman for the board. He's joined in the nominated leadership by JR Johnson, chairman-elect, Qwest Communications; Andy Keating, treasurer; Lynn Ericksen, secretary, Hilton Tucson El Conquistador; and Gregg Forszt, immediate past chairman, Ventana Medical Systems.

Other members of the board of directors are Monnie Applegate, Interfaith Community Services; Lyra Done, Lyra Done Realty; Jeff Jones, Interior Expressions Design Showroom; Susan Cantrell, Tucson Newspapers Inc.; Melanie Larson, L&B Design Inc.; Sharon Lurtsema, The Choice Care Agency; Tom Pitzer, American Family Insurance; Jason McCutcheon, AAA Landscape; and Shawn Strash, Oro Valley Hospital.
